Paper Submission
Paper Submission
Authors are invited to submit papers in PDF format, with a minimum length of two and a maximum length of five A4 pages. Please use the following templates:
The paper must contain enough information for the Technical Programme Committee and reviewers to assess the quality of the work in a single acceptance/rejection review process. Note that the TPC and reviewers will especially care about plagiarism and self-plagiarism.
Submission procedure
Submit your paper online no later than 15 October, 2021. The submission requires an EDAS® account, which is free. Please submit
- Regular papers (https://www.edas.info/newPaper.php?c=28757&track=107938)
- Convened session papers (https://www.edas.info/newPaper.php?c=28757&track=107939) (password protected)
- Invited Session papers (https://www.edas.info/newPaper.php?c=28757&track=107940) (password protected)
- Scientific Workshop papers (https://www.edas.info/newPaper.php?c=28757&track=107941) (password protected)
Note, uploading to the convened sessions, scientific workshops, and the invited sessions requires a password. Please contact the conveners of your session if you have not received it.
During the submission process, authors must specify two application tracks and two conference topics.
Please note that the author list as entered in EDAS® is final after the submission deadline 15 October 2021 and cannot be changed at any time afterwards.
Copyright
Upon submission, the authors will be requested to complete this Copyright Form. The copyright form has to be submitted by one of the authors.
IEEE Xplore® and PDF eXpress®
Presented papers will be included in IEEE Xplore®, if the authors choose this option during the submission process. Compliance to the IEEE format is mandatory in this case and can be checked using the PDF eXpress® tool with Conference ID 53622X.
Please be aware that creating a PDF eXpress® account and checking your paper may take some time. We recommend to check possible compatibility problems while writing your paper, so as not to encounter delays at submission time.
Author registration
Registration will open on 13 January 2022. The registration deadline for authors is 6 February 2022 (hard deadline). At least one of the authors of each paper must register as a conference delegate. A delegate cannot register more than two papers in his/her name as “presenting author”. This applies to regular, convened session, and scientific workshop papers; otherwise the papers will not be published.
Papers that are not presented at the conference will not be submitted to IEEE Xplore®.
Final paper
It will be mandatory for authors who wish for their paper to appear in IEEE Xplore® to upload a final version of their paper by 6 February 2022. This version must be compliant with the IEEE format. Final versions of non IEEE Xplore® papers can also be uploaded but this is not compulsory. In both cases it will only be possible to include minor corrections in line with the reviewers’ comments. Please note, you must not change
- The paper title.
- The author list.
- The references list (unless required by the reviewers).
The revised version will be checked and the TPC reserves the right to publish the original version in the case of non-compliance with the above.
It is your responsibility that the authors’ names and the abstract in EDAS and in the pdf file match exactly. If a correction is needed, please send an e-mail to tpc@eucap2022.org not later than 15 January 2022 with your paper identification number and the changes required (including the EDAS identification number of any new or missing authors).
Tips for final paper submission
If your paper has been accepted to be included in the IEEEXplore database then you must upload a final version of your paper to EDAS not later than January 22nd, 2022. Minor corrections can be made to your paper, in line with the reviewers' comments. It is your responsibility to ensure that the final version is compliant with IEEEXplore. The recommended way to do this is to use the IEEE PDF eXpress tool at https://ieee-pdf-express.org/ with the conference code 53622X.
If your paper is not to appear in IEEEXplore then you may upload a revised version if you wish.
In both cases (IEEEXplore or not IEEEXplore) your paper must comply with the conference template (See https://www.eucap2022.org/authors-1/paper-submission)
Please be aware that the TPC may decide to keep the initial version if major modifications are detected in the revised version. In particular, changes to the list of references are not allowed, unless required by the reviewers. Furthermore, it is not possible to modify the paper title or the author list, those currently appearing in the review manuscript being final according to IEEE and EuCAP policies.
It is your responsibility that the authors’ names and the abstract in EDAS and in the pdf file match exactly. If a correction is needed, please send an e-mail to tpc@eucap2022.org not later than 15th January 2022 with your paper identification number and the changes required (including the EDAS identification number of any new or missing authors). Inconsistent names and abstracts will cause problems when building the conference programme.
Commonly encountered problems.
Please note the following commonly-encountered problem which can arise when uploading papers to EDAS. The platform can return the error despite there being no apparent problem when visually inspecting the manuscript.
This error often occurs when the bounding box surrounding a figure extends slightly into the margins. This is not noticeable, as the bounding box is white and is extending into a white space. A simple fix is to make the image slightly smaller, and then resubmit.
Best Paper Awards
During the submission process, authors have the possibility to apply for the Best Student Paper Award or the Best Paper Award in one of the four categories Antennas, Electromagnetics, Propagation, or Measurement.
Augmented Papers Publication
As in previous editions, authors can apply for the publication of EuCAP augmented paper in a special issue of either Microwaves, Antennas & Propagation (IET) or International Journal of Microwave and Wireless Technologies (EuMA) during the submission process. In addition, starting from this year, authors will also have the chance to apply for publication in the new EurAAP journal: Reviews of Electromagnetics.
